- Intraparty tensions in Michigan's U.S. Senate race boiled over days before the election, ABC News reported, after Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens appeared with Republican candidate Mike Rogers at a church in Detroit.

Axios reported that Stevens appeared Sunday at Detroit's Perfecting Church alongside Rogers and praised his support for Black-owned businesses. Axios noted that the appearance came two days before Rogers faces the Democratic nominee, whom Stevens had previously endorsed. The Axios summary does not say when that endorsement was made.

Axios also reported that Stevens then posted an endorsement of Rogers on social media.

The Hill reported that Stevens lost the Democratic primary earlier this year to Abdul El-Sayed and endorsed Rogers, a former Republican representative. In a statement quoted by The Hill, Stevens said El-Sayed had said she was "no longer welcome in his campaign." The Hill's summary is cut off, so the rest of that statement is not available in the reports reviewed here.

The Hill described Rogers as a former Republican representative, while ABC News and Axios identified him as the Republican Senate candidate. Each outlet's summary places Stevens in the Democratic Party and identifies her as a current House member.

The summaries from ABC News, The Hill and Axios do not include a response from El-Sayed or from the Rogers campaign to the appearance or the endorsement.
