The Missouri State Highway Patrol recaptured Jacob Allen Morley, a convicted murderer who had escaped from a Tennessee prison, Fox News reported. According to Fox News, Morley "broke out" of the Northwest Correctional Complex last week before Missouri state troopers tracked him down.
CBS News reported that Morley was serving a life sentence at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tennessee when he escaped by "slipping through a fence" on the property. In its headline, CBS News said he was captured over a week after escaping the prison.
The two reports identify the escaped inmate as Morley, though Fox News uses his full name, Jacob Allen Morley, while CBS News uses Jacob Morley. Fox News described him as a convicted murderer, and CBS News described him as serving a life sentence at the same facility.
The accounts differ on timing. Fox News said the escape happened last week, while CBS News said the capture came more than a week after the escape. Neither headline nor summary in the reports available for this story gives a calendar date for either event.
Neither the Fox News nor the CBS News summary says where Morley was found, how troopers located him, or whether he faces new charges in connection with the escape.
